04/06/2008 - NJ Musky Trout Fishing

04/06/2008 - NJ Musky Trout Fishing

Alright, after an all day epic adventure of trout fishing on the opener, I headed home for some much needed rest and recharged my batteries!
Woke up mid-morning and headed back up north for a midday fishing session with Scrubby and Charlie.
We decided to hit some of the same stretch of the Musky as Saturday and see how things went!

I arrive at the parking area when I look and see none other than, WOJ!
What the...is WOJ carrying SPINNING TACKLE!!! BLASHPHEMY!!! Haha

The boys are already down there and fishing, so I head down with Woj and get busy!
Here's my first...another vegan brookie! :)

I was totally slacking and didn't take any pics really.
Woj and Charlie headed upstream as the action was good but not great.
Scrub and I hung tight and catch a few more! ;)

Then we all joined back up and cleaned our fish before heading off to another spot.
Here Craig cleaning his fish with Woj looking on.
Tom E will have some feedback on this one after the tog fishing trip commentary! :D

Woj is so good, he fishes with his eyes closed...and no rod!

Bucket-o-limits! Can't wait to get some smoked ones back!

Well we all headed to another spot, and it was pretty fishless.
They were there, but it was a little difficult access wise, and pretty shallow in most parts...and being fished in the deeper holes.
We cruised through for about an hour, with just a few hits between us but no hook-ups.
After that, Charlie, Craig, and Woj headed on home while I continued on...but not after much needed refreshment!

Here we have Craig Light.

And Mr. Cooler, aka Captain Pink

And Woj...wearing a Cowboys shirt! Oh boy...

Nice cooler! :D

Alright, off they went and I headed to the next spot.
I found some fish pretty quickly and landed a few...
Here's a nice little brookie...

And another...

And another...

Then picked this vegan brookie out!

And this one that just wouldn't give up! :)

Ah there ya go!

Few fish later, snapped a pic of this final pictured one...

I went on to catch quite a few more fish, but slacked off on the pics! ;)
Was another great day out on the water with a good number of trout caught...probably ending the day with 30-40 fish caught.

Another father, son, and daughter came on down to fish toward evening at the spot I was at and commenced to catch fish left and right.
The father was just observing, as the son (probably 14-15 yrs old) caught fish after fish...landed one, then handed the next off to his younger sister (probably 10 or so).
Was a good time, they really enjoyed themselves! ;)

Alright that's all for now, until next time!
