04/30/2011 - Blackfishing on Tagged Fish

Alright, it's been awhile since I've written any fishing reports...so I thought it was time to dust of the keyboard!

Greg Vongas hooked up a charter aboard Tagged Fish for the final day of blackfishing at the 4 fish limit.
Ron, Stelli, Tony, Brian, and myself rounded out a great crew with Chad behind the throttle and anchor lines!

I'd never sailed with Chad before, but he ran a great operation and certainly lived up to his reputation!
We were on life from the first drop onward, with a solid bite filling our 6-man blackfish limit by 8:30AM and a boat limit just shy of 10:00AM as we switched spots.
The two big fish of the day were Brian's 9.12# tog and Chad's 10.3# tog...real nice way to end the season!

Felt great to be on the water again, and a lot of fun with a great group of guys!
Thanks to Greg to the invite and Chad for showing us a great time on the water!

Here's a few pics from the day (yeah right, when do I ever post a "few") haha

Alright that's all folks. And while it may appear like Greg and Ron may not have caught as much...definitely not the case...they just happened to be fishing on the other side of the boat and away from the camera!
I think Ron was high hook on tog, he was on fire early putting us all to shame.
In the end, everyone had a limit+ of tog and various other mixed bag species.
We kept our boat limit of tog and probably threw back another 15-20+ keeper tog.
Great job and great time all around, can't wait to get back out on the water!

Trout fishing tomorrow!
