2013 Coffee Table Build

So, I spent a little bit of time looking around for a coffee table for my place and couldn't find one I liked...so I thought I'd just try and build one instead!

This is my first time doing anything woodwork related, but it turned out to be a ton of fun and I'll likely do some more in the future...that is when I have a garage/workshop instead of just my living room! haha

Below are some pictures from the build...in retrospect, I should have used my DSLR instead of my iPhone...but they give ya an idea!

New Years sanding! Almost time to assemble and stain!

Coming to life!

Table top just resting on the base. Final puttying, then final sand, then condition and stain!

Staining fun! Getting ready! I went a little overboard with the pocket holes huh?

Dark walnut 2716!

First coat complete! Left the coat on the base a little longer, so probably just coat the top one more time to darken it a bit more!

Round 2 of staining...

Final coat of poly! Let her dry now, buff it on the weekend, attach table top and call it done!
